1. There will be an additional charge to any variation or additions to any work that is requested outside of the quotation.
2. Any fault found due to prior workmanship that is found to be unsafe or destructive will be discussed with the client and fixed, but this will incur a further charge.
3. All materials supplied by the company will remain the property of the company until full payment is received.
4. The company will not undertake any guarantee or accept liability for any materials supplied by any other party.
5. The company may recommend other trades to the customer. The customer will enter into a separate agreement with other trades and the company will not undertake any guarantee or accept liability for work carried out by any other party.
6. The client must give 7 days’ notice of cancellation of any work specified and failure to do so may result in the following charges, • Administration charge of £50.00 • Survey fee of £50.00 • 25% restocking fee on materials ordered that can be returned to suppliers and full payment of special-order materials that cannot be returned to suppliers.
7. The client must make his/her arrangements for the balance to be paid on the due date (completion of installation). Failure to comply with payment of the balance on the due date will invalidate the guarantee and entitle the company to charge interest on the balance outstanding at the rate of 4% above the bank base rate.
8. When materials are being supplied by the client it is their responsibility to ensure that all materials are onsite and checked before the start date. Loss of time due to damaged or missing materials may be billed at the end of the job at an hourly or daily rate depending on the amount of time lost.
9. Larger works will be invoiced in stages with full payment required on completion of each stage. The next stage will not be started until such payment is received.
10. All disposal of waste shall be collected from myself – this will be included in the quote provided.
11. All services provided by Gaineys home improvements shall be given, supplied and crafted to high quality. However, where our services entail the use of any wood whatsoever, we cannot indemnify and/or guarantee against any movement that using such natural/raw products may be subject to. Such materials can and may be prone to movement depending on the atmospheric conditions in which the product(s) may be used. Therefore, Gainey’s home improvements will accept no liability whatsoever in relation to such product(s) and cannot be held liable for such situations that may arise from using any natural products, materials or goods. We do our best to counteract these day-to-day occurrences, it is just the nature of the timber unfortunately.
11A. Any product that is advertised from natural materials may have a slight colour variation from time to time once protective varnishes, stains and antibacterial oils have been applied. We cannot guarantee that every piece of furniture will look the exact same as our advertised products this is due to what grade of timber is received and what the trees characteristics have to offer. Therefore, we accept no liability from this natural source. We do however guarantee the exact style, and quality of workmanship that is passionately placed into each of our products.
12. Once everything has been complete, you have a 30-day period to notify us in writing on any problems with the product we have provided. This endorsement will be undertaken provided the faults and or defects are to do with the services and materials provided by Gaineys home improvements at the time the work was carried out and ONLY for the purpose such goods, materials or products were supplied to do. Gaineys home improvements will not attempt to correct, repair or exchange goods or materials that were not initially supplied by them. All such repairs or defects will be corrected within a convenient and reasonable timescale to suit the customer.
*HOWEVER, UPON INSPECTION IF GAINEYS HOME IMPROVEMENT, ASCERTAIN THAT SUCH DEFECTS OR FAULTS HAVE OCURRED THROUGH OTHER MEANS SUCH AS VANDALISM, MALICIOUS INTENT OR WILLFUL DAMAGE THEY WILL NOT BE AT LIBERTY TO CORRECT SUCH DAMAGE OR DEFECTS.*
Gaineys home improvement cannot guarantee or protect against everyday ‘wear and tear’ of their completed work Upon acceptance of the quote, I kindly request a payment for the cost of materials upfront – this shall be labelled as *Materials* written in the quote provided along with my bank details attached below. If you are not happy with this arrangement, then I’m happy to discuss a stage payment process which will best suit everyone.
